How can we help?
Answers to the common questions. Anything else: helixapp.health@gmail.com — we aim to reply within two working days.
Devices and data
Which devices work with Helix?
Helix runs on iPhone, with a companion Apple Watch app. It reads Apple Health, so anything that writes to Apple Health works:
- Apple Watch — sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV and workouts.
- Garmin — through Garmin Connect, with Apple Health sync turned on.
- Oura — through the Oura app, with Apple Health sync turned on.
- Fitbit — through Google Health, syncing to Apple Health.
Helix isn’t available on Android.
How do I connect Fitbit?
Fitbit data reaches Helix through Google Health, which syncs to Apple Health. Once it appears in the Health app, Helix can read it. What reaches Apple Health depends on Fitbit and Google; if HRV doesn’t come through, Helix shows that and leans on resting heart rate, sleep and the Morning check-in. How the fallback works.
Why does Helix read 90 days of Apple Health?
So your baselines exist from the first morning, instead of starting blank. The history is read and worked on on your phone. You choose which data types to allow, and can change it in the Health app. How baselines work.
My score says a signal is missing. What does that mean?
Your device didn’t record that signal last night — the watch was charging, say. Helix shows a likely range instead of a single exact figure, and the Morning check-in can fill in. Tap the score to see what it stands on.
Groups and sharing
What can my group see?
Only what you choose to share, metric by metric — your sleep but not your heart rate, say, or your sessions but not your meals. Your group always sees your display name, colour and shape. Change it any time in the group’s settings.
How do I invite people?
Open your group and tap Invite your people. Send the link, or let someone scan the QR code. Groups hold up to 64 people.
How do I report or block someone?
Long-press the post, comment or member, then choose Report or Block. We act on reports within 24 hours. You can also email helixapp.health@gmail.com. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
Helix AI
Is Helix AI on by default?
No. It is off until you turn it on in Settings › Privacy and your data › Helix AI. The consent screen lists exactly what it sees before you agree. Requests go through Groq, which doesn’t keep them or train on them. Turn it off at any time; the rest of Helix keeps working.
Do meal photos use Helix AI?
Meal photos are sent to Groq to identify the food, and are not stored. Typed meal descriptions use Groq only when Helix AI is on. Barcodes are looked up with Open Food Facts — only the number is sent.
Subscription
How does the free trial work?
14 days of everything, free, with no card needed. When it ends, choose £79.99 a year or £4 a week to keep going. Nothing is charged unless you subscribe.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone open Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, choose Helix and tap Cancel Subscription, at least 24 hours before renewal. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel it.
How do I restore a purchase on a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open Helix and go to Settings › Subscription › Restore purchases. If that doesn’t work, email helixapp.health@gmail.com with the date of purchase.
How do I redeem a code?
Open Redeem a code on the paywall or in Settings › Subscription and enter the code from your coach.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles payments, so ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Account
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings › Account › Delete account. This deletes your account and everything we hold on our servers, removes you from your groups and revokes Sign in with Apple. Remember to cancel your subscription with Apple too.
Is Helix medical advice?
No. Helix is not a medical device and does not diagnose. If you’re worried about your health, speak to a GP or call NHS 111.
